What you will find here
Nature wallpapers bring the outdoors to your lock screen. This category has mountain lakes at dawn and dusk, forests and valley roads, turquoise bays and island chains seen from above, and snow-capped volcanoes. There are also a lot of flowers: sunflowers, dahlias, gerberas and whole fields of daisies, by day and by moonlight.
Landscapes versus close-ups
The two kinds of nature wallpaper suit different screens. Wide landscapes, like a lake with mountains behind it, have a natural horizon. The sky at the top leaves room for the clock, and the land at the bottom sits behind your dock. They make excellent lock screens.
Flower close-ups have one bright subject. They look striking, but the petals can clash with icons. They often work best on the lock screen, with a softer landscape behind the apps.
Colour and time of day
Sunset and night scenes, like moonlit daisies, dusky lakes or valley lights, are darker and easier on the eyes in the evening. On OLED phones they use slightly less battery. Bright daytime scenes, like sunflowers against blue sky, feel fresher in the morning. Some phones let you switch wallpapers between light and dark mode, so you can have one of each.
About the size
Landscapes are full of fine detail, like leaves, ripples and distant trees, which shows sharpness more than anything else. Each wallpaper's page shows its real size. Pick the largest one available for a large or very sharp screen. The fit and sharpness guide explains what to look for.
