What WallStand is

WallStand is a free place to find something for your phone: a wallpaper for the lock screen or Home screen, and a ringtone for when it rings. Everything here was uploaded by a creator and checked by us before it went up. You do not need an account to browse, listen or download, and nothing is stamped with a watermark.

Wallpapers

Wallpapers are sorted into five categories. Photography is real photos: animals, cars, cities and landscapes. Abstract is colour and shape: gradients, marbled paint and soft dreamy scenes. Minimal keeps things quiet, with plain backgrounds and a single subject, so your apps stay easy to read. 4K Nature is mountains, forests, water and sky. Quotes puts a few words on your screen to see every time you pick the phone up.

Every wallpaper is made for a tall phone screen. Its page shows the real size of the file, and the larger size where there is one, so you know what you are getting before you download.

Ringtones

Ringtones play right on the page, so you can hear one before you take it. They are grouped by style: popular picks, classical, dance, funny, hip hop, instrumental, pop and rock. There are film songs played on guitar and violin, short cheerful jingles, old-style phone rings, and a few joke tones best saved for one friend.

How things are ranked

What you see first is not picked by hand. It depends on what people do: how often a wallpaper is set on a phone, how often a ringtone is downloaded, and how often either is liked. Something people keep choosing rises. Something nobody wants sinks. New additions get a fair turn near the top, so the same few items do not stay there forever.

Setting them on your phone

Downloading is one tap. Setting the file takes a few more, and the steps differ between phones, so there are step-by-step guides for iPhone, Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi, OnePlus and other Android phones. They also cover why a wallpaper can look zoomed in or soft, and how to fix it.

For creators

If you make wallpapers or ringtones, you can upload them as a creator. Sign in with Google, send your work, and once it is approved it carries your name and a link to your page. What you post here is still yours to post anywhere else.
