About this category

Gradients, marbled paint, glossy shapes, soft landscapes and dreamy scenes — colour first, subject second.

Where it works best

Abstract wallpapers have no subject to crop off, so they fit any phone shape. Soft gradients and blurred scenes make easy Home screen backgrounds, because app names stay readable on them. Bolder, glossy shapes suit the lock screen, where nothing sits on top but the clock.

How to set it

Download it first. On an iPhone, move it from Files into Photos, then open it, tap Share and choose Use as Wallpaper. On a Samsung Galaxy, open it in Gallery, tap the three dots and choose Set as wallpaper. On a Pixel, open it in Google Photos, tap the three dots, then Use as and Wallpaper. You can set it on the lock screen, the Home screen or both.

The setup guides have full steps for each phone, and what to do if it looks zoomed in or soft.
